Nextel Blackberry Phone - mobile office in your hand

A Nextel blackberry phone has practically all the features of a blackberry handheld phone with a few modifications. One obvious trait is the large size of the antenna that has come to be associated with all Nextel cellular phones.

The Nextel blackberry cell phone is also considered a mobile office as it can fulfill all the functions of an office’s infrastructure and receptionist, such as sending emails, voice-activated commands, personal organizer, pager, etc.

Compared to other blackberry cellular phones, the Nextel handheld version has the famed Direct Connect facility. Here, each cell has the capability for unlimited use of a wireless 2-way radio system that is capable of communication between two such cell phones over large areas of close to a hundred miles. With such a compact handheld cellular phone, it would eventually make the ordinary telephone a thing of the past as far as local calls are concerned as this being a wireless unit and no additional infrastructure is required. As a matter of fact, it hardly needs any infrastructure for the Direct Connect to work – just like an army’s walkie-talkie.

What’s interesting is that these handhelds do not have a speakerphone as it’s meant to be operated by a handsfree or wireless bluetooth accessory. As such, if you would want to use it without the accessories, you’d have to bring the handheld device to your ear and talk. Once you hear the quality of the sound, you would understand that these phones have got excellent speaker quality to play fine music.
