MP3s are now the music format that music lovers prefer especially if they are even the slightest bit tech savvy. Similarly as music makers have had to adapt, cell phone manufacturers have had to do the same and now cell phones are beginning to accommodate MP3 ring tones for incoming calls. With MP3 players gaining prominence it was only a matter of time before cell phones needed to be able to offer MP3 ring tone download and storage capabilities. By incorporating MP3 technology and downloading MP3 ring tones into cell phones, the opportunity to use MP3 ring tones lifted directly from original CDs is now absolutely possible. Cell phones are no longer just cell phones--they're also personal organizers, cameras, and even music players/mini stereos. Wireless technology now allows you to download MP3 files and melodies to your cell phone for use as ring tones. For some time now ring tones of pop and other well known songs have been available for cell phone download. These ringers, though, used to be in the form of MIDI files. MP3 ringtones incorporate actual MP3 sound files into the engineering of your cell phone so now your phone literally plays the MP3 music aloud when your phone rings rather than the traditional ringing beep sound found in the old MIDI files.
