GSM Cell Phones – Motorola Offers A Mini Option

Motorola has released new mobile GSM cell phones architecture that will ultimately lead to smaller GSM mobile phones that are less expensive and more secure for both communications and entertainment. This new small GSM mobile phone architecture, known as Mobile Extreme Convergence, is intended to also speed up the ongoing development of new applications for mobile devices.

MXC will deliver a fully-equipped smart cell phone platform in a very small package that measures just 16 millimeters by 20 millimeters and is a mere 1.4 millimeters thick. This makes it the perfect cell phone option for a shirt or pants pocket or a handbag. The MXC package allows a variety of devices, such as MP3 players, DVD players and digital cameras to be equipped to the cell phone for outstanding performance. This means that you can easily travel with all of these valuable cell phone attachments and you won’t need to take up too much room.

The MXC GSM mobile phone platform is aimed squarely at wireless mobile technologies including GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution) and WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access).

Using Biometrics In The Workplace

In addition, the MXC GSM mobile phone architecture also integrates a security engine to support features such as fingerprint recognition technology and secure over-the-air transactions which will have a significant impact on companies. Companies can choose to use these biometric security options and cell phone features to integrate a new level of protection in their workplace. Motorola will ensure there is a firewall between the application and the actual processing elements of the GSM mobile phone architecture, meaning biometrics could be used in wireless format.
