Cellular Phone Directory - a growing necessity today |

Now is a time when the cellular phone is more popular than the landline phone. Not only are more and more people using cellular phones, but many people have actually stopped using landline phones altogether. The need of the hour is the cellular phone directory. Directories have been one factor of the phone service that we have always taken for granted, but one has to realize that cellular phones do not have a directory. So what do you do when you need a number you’ve forgotten, or when the cell phone numbers on your phone are wiped out by a virus? An advantage of the Internet is that directories for cells are rapidly becoming available. MobilePhoneNo.com is such a site that offers you a directory of cell phone numbers. But the disadvantage of most such sites is that the numbers are submitted by users of cells, which means it is not a guarantee that you’ll find any number you want in the United States or globally. But these sites are becoming more and more developed. CellPhoneDirectory.com, for example, is an interesting service where you will be contacted by e-mail whenever someone accesses your number. You also have the option of keeping your number private, and you have the option of notifying people when your number gets changed. The listings on the net aren’t as comprehensive as one might wish, but we have to realize that this is a new service, which will take time to advance. Paid Directory ServicesAlong with these sites, there also exist paid sites, which trace numbers or names for you for a payment. These sites are many and diverse, and one is advised to be careful while accessing these. Examples of these sites are Instant-Detective.net and SearchDetective.net. These are called Reverse Cell Phone Look-Ups. PhoneDirectorySearch.com is a website that gives you both these features along with some others like Genealogy Search and E-Mail Address Locator. But these are fledgling sites, which depend on users of cells submitting their own information. We still have some time to wait before we get official listings from the companies themselves. But this is necessary, because the world is turning wireless, and we need cell phone directories for that.
