Cellular Amplifier - boosting your wireless signal strength

A cellular amplifier is an accessory you may need to give a boost to the signal strength of wireless cells. The amplifier will especially come useful if you are most of the time in an area where the signals are weak. Take for example the rural areas or in basements of old buildings. That’s one of the main reasons why the landline telephone still rules the roost in most of rural America.

These cellular phone signal amplifier not only improve the signal strength for cells but help save the battery power of the cells. This happens as since the amplifier consists of a circuitry that is sensitive to faint signals, it clubs all these weaker signals and sends out a single, strong signal. This thus makes the cell phones assume that the telephone is closer to the source of the signals, or antenna.

These problems with signals having insufficient power usually occur in the infant stages of a cellular phone service provider of the area. Being new, there will be a limited number of towers, usually with a standard amplifier of theirs to transmit waveforms on an extended coverage. As time goes by, these cellular phone service providers will add on a number of towers in popular areas so that the cell phone will get a clear reception.

However, the common problem noticed is that cellular phones have a very bad time in deep basements of old buildings. This is because Earth absorbs the electromagnetic waves very easily and the bent way to overcome this is to place an amplifier in the basement. This more often than not allows the cell phones to work efficiently and the reception then would be as though the signal was coming from a cable wire like an ordinary telephone.
