It’s great to experience a distortion free connection on a cell phone while having a communication. Unfortunately, this is not always as the case may be. That’s when you need those accessories known as the cell phone boosters.

Unlike a conventional telephone, which has a physical connection to the switch base, the cellular phones rely on air space to transmit its signals. As this medium can experience lots of conductive and obstructive bodies, the signal strength will diminish. As such, cells need a boost periodically in areas of poor reception.

The cell phone booster is nothing but a device that works to boost the power of the signals reaching the cellular phones. An electronic circuit that, on picking up faint cell phone signals, automatically gives a boost in term of field strength to these signals.

The booster is usually an internal device but then there are various boosters for essential applications. The booster comes as an antenna, a repeater or an amplifier; whatever form it may be, for those who have to use their cells in such poor signal strength areas, it is certainly helpful in getting one’s work done on the cell phone.

There are some cellular phones these days in the market that have a built-in circuitry that is more sensitive to faint signals and themselves act as a booster for the telephone. Users of such cells usually notice that the earpiece of the telephone is a lot warmer as the signals get more concentrated.
