Bluetooth Wireless Phones - hosting a selection of accessories for your bluetooth phone

Besides Bluetooth, did you know that there are even Jumbotooth and Supertooth products? The term bluetooth is generally given to products that can convey information by wireless means over a certain span of space. Hence, bluetooth wireless phones are cell phones that have bluetooth capabilities.

Bluetooth accessories that are available for cellular phones are basically headsets and converters (connecting a landline or non-Bluetooth cell phone into a wireless device). A point to consider here is the fact that a wireless hands free kit is different from a Bluetooth device in the way that the handsfree kit makes use of an infra-red device whereas Bluetooth is basically an electromagnetic wave.

When using this accessory, it is advised to be extra careful as a drawback of this is that if two compatible cellular phones are close to one another, information that is in either of the cells can be downloaded by the other without the first knowing about it or detecting it; this is known as blue bugging.

One major drawback of this accessory and peculiarly, not found with any other accessories, is the fact that software viruses can easily and surely be spread from one phone to another. Known as a worm, e.g. the Cabir worm, such a problem is of a major concern and efforts are on to control its spread. One such method is by using the PIN (Personal Identification Number) that is an 8 digit security code for cells and should only be shared with another cellular user of some one you know.

As such, to preserve your personal information that is stored on the cells, it’s imperative that extreme care and caution be exercised while using these accessories with your cell phones. Or else you may end up having a non-workable handset and a good-for-nothing accessory.
