One important factor, and that makes it all the more difficult, is which brand of cell is being used. Unfortunately, in the race to create what is considered as cool cell phones, manufactures have taken the path of acting safe. Development of a particular brand goes on market feedback and thus, refining what bodes well for the firm.

Indeed, what may be best today could very well be in second place tomorrow. At the rate at which demand for newer capabilities of a cellphone are growing, an accessory may be considered top of its line only for that model and not for the subsequent cell phones of the same company. This follows the cyclic economic principle that to be the best, you have to better the best.

As cellphone companies target the age group of 16-35 years of age in their marketing schemes, issues are being looked into so as to make the mobile even more cool and fun to use and be seen around with. Many major manufacturers such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola understand this and see this as a goldmine for their businesses. Accessories are created differently for each mobile so that as far as possible, no two mobiles will be the same, resulting in colleagues and peers finding it fun to find out what’s cool and what’s not on each other’s cellphone and accessory.
